What I cherish most about DELCOM COOP is the added value that our projects bring to the communities, the State and Nigeria at large. The project will further reduce government dependent on importation of oil palm and save the country from capital outflow. From my early days of planning projects, we go with community in mind, connecting with the environment in which the project is to be placed for wealth creation and wealth redistribution. We feel that besides the business, we are there for the people that will benefit from the project, both directly and indirectly.

OUR PRODUCE

DELCOM COOP will be involved in cultivation, processing, packaging, storage, supply and export of a wide variety of agricultural produce to include the following;

DELCOM COOP to cultivates 100,000 hectares of oil palm in phases across communities, local government area of Delta State strictly for the Nigerian local market as it has a very high domestic value with a variety of economic and health uses. The main derivative of the seed is palm oil, palm kernel oil and palm kernel cake which is low in cholesterol but rich in vitamins, pantothenic acid, fatty acids, amino acids, calcium and phosphorus. It is widely used in the production of cosmetics (soaps, cream and lotions), pharmaceuticals, and vegetable oil etal. Other secondary products include mayonnaise, margarine, confectioneries, bakery products, paints and animal feeds.

Palm oil is an edible vegetable oil derived from the mesocarp (reddish pulp) of the fruit of the oil palms, primarily the African oil palm Elaeis guineensis, and to a lesser extent from the American oil palm Elaeis oleifera and the maripa palm Attalea maripa. Going by a recently concluded detailed research which shows that demand and supply gap is currently estimated to be between 700,000 metric tons to 900,000 metric Tons per annum. An estimate also shows that Nigeria requires about 1,300,000 tons of vegetable oils to meet up to the national requirements for food and nonfood uses.
